I stayed at the White Lion with my two grandchildren, aged 13 and 8, over the Bank Holiday weekend and we loved it. The staff were friendly and looked after us well. The room was a bit cramped but had 2 TVs and plenty of stuff for making tea and coffee. And the children enjoyed hot chocolate with squirty cream in the bar in the evening! There was a good choice of cooked breakfasts in the morning and we could have eaten all our meals there if we hadn't beengoing out each day. We had dinner twice and really enjoyed ribs, chicken curry, lamb shank, etc.The White Lion is well situated for various seaside places, e.g. Aberdyfi and Tywyn. As the weather wasn't good we went on the steam train from Tywyn to Abergynolwyn. We also enjoyed King Arthur's Labyrinth which is only 10 minutes' drive away. We went to Borth for both the beach and the lovely Animalarium. There's a good atmosphere at the White Lion and I would stay there again.- Sue Matthews
The room was clean and comfortable, the food and the general atmosphere in the bar and restaurant was very good, very well attended by plenty of locals. The location for me was perfect with some fabulous motor cycling routes close by. - Peter W
